Happy Hanuka!

A few weeks ago, Mason declared that he was half Christian and half Hanukian... we proved the latter by celebrating Hanuka in style this week. We lit the candles every night, had two latke feasts, and enjoyed treats and presents. Here's a review of the all the gifts:

Night 1: Space Police Lego set for Mason, Lego motorcycle mail carrier for Max.

Night 2: Lego Bionicle for Mason, Batmobile for Max.

Night 3: Another Bionicle for Mason, a "Max" sign for Max's door, made by me.

Night 4: Books! G-Force "Your Inner Pig" for Mason and 3 Sesame Street books for Max.

Night 5: Chocolate bars for each boy. Mason was exhausted from his school field trip and couldn't manage to look happy... although he gobbled up the chocolate without a problem.

Night 6: Mason bought gifts for the rest of the family at his school holiday fair: a #1 Dad keychain with flashlight for Mark, a holiday light necklace for me, and a canister of red slime with a bug in it for Max. He also made me a cup/vase/sculpture in art class. Mason received another little Space Police lego set and Max received a bus book and a truck book.

Night 7: Chocolate Oranges from Trader Joe's.

Night 8: Mason got a Star Wars pack and Max got an animal explorer pack, with binoculars, compass, animal coloring book, stickers, and frog book. We used the menorah that Mason painted.
