Max is here!

Max arrived on March 6, just after lunchtime. He was 8-pounds-7-ounces and pretty mellow for someone making his entrance into the world.

Big brother and papa were happy to see him.

So was Mama.

Everyone is doing just fine.

And to answer the question we've gotten a few times today, yes, he has hair.

Holi-daze

So when you're three-years-old and your mom's family celebrates Chanukah and dad is from the Christmas crowd, what do you get? Something like this:

Mason likes the Chanukah candles, and he liked having Grandma Fran and Grandpa Bob in town. Oh, and there are presents...and fire!

On one night of Chanukah, we had Grandma Fran, Grandpa Bob and our friends Nancie, Jeff, Wendy and Xander come over. Hilarity ensues, and Jeff helped us get some of it on video tape. Sing, Marla, sing! How the house didn't burn down, I'm not quite sure.

Of course, the holidays mean cooking. Here’s Mason honing his culinary skills with his pop and Grandma Barbara:

Mason’s preschool is a Spanish immersion outfit, so Santa doesn’t come to visit. But this dude they called “Papa Noel” was on the scene at the school party handing out gifts.

And what would Christmas be without music?

Ah, Christmas morning....there's nothing else like it. I'm not sure we can tell you what was going on here...maybe he was trying to run down a reindeer or something. Looks excited though, doesn't he.

Yup, the holidays can be exhausting:

More cowbell!

Thanksgiving 2006

Mason did Thanksgiving with the Binker clan this year. Cousin Christy hosted the wind-ding, which was quite nice.

Both sets of grandparents were on hand for the week, so the boy was in hog heaven. Here he is with both grandmas:

And here are a couple pictures of him with his cousins. In the first one, he’s sitting with his cousin Elizabeth. In the second, he’s sitting with Elizabeth, Will and Ben.

A little song, a little dance, a little turkey

Question: What do you get when you pile a bunch of three-year-olds on a stage and ask them to sing in Spanish and dance?

Answer: Something like this video. Take a bow, Mason.
